MIKE PERRONE WINS REELECTION IN RUNOFF

WASHINGTON, DC - Runoff election results have certified that incumbent Mike Perrone will continue serving as national vice president of the Professional Aviation Safety Specialists, AFL-CIO (PASS).

In accordance with the PASS Constitution, a runoff between the top two vote-getters is conducted when no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the votes cast. In the runoff election, Perrone received 590 votes, while Illinois Chapter President Rich Casey received 516 votes. Perrone, an FAA systems specialist for over 25 years, joined PASS in 1994. He has worked in a variety of roles before first being elected national vice president in 2003.

"I commend Rich Casey and look forward to working with him as we continue the union's agenda," said Perrone. "Conducting the day-to-day business of the union and contributing to the goals and direction of PASS are immensely rewarding. I appreciate the opportunity to continue serving my PASS brothers and sisters as national vice president."

Elected officers assumed their offices for three-year terms starting on October 1, 2009.
